Marie Walker joins Raidiam, the world-leading data sharing ecosystem pioneers

Raidiam, the data sharing ecosystem pioneers who continue to drive the world’s most exciting Open Data initiatives, are delighted to confirm that Marie Walker joined as their resident Open Futurist from 14 April. Marie will continue to utilise her unrivalled insight and excellent industry contacts to act as global ambassador for Raidiam, helping countries and businesses to create opportunities in the emerging data economy.

Marie joins from Open Future World, where she played a key role in building a valuable community for the growing Open Data sector, providing a global source of information.

Raidiam has been at the forefront of developments in Open Data since 2016 – from delivering the world’s first Open Banking Trust Framework in the UK, to enabling Brazil to realise its Open Data dream by developing and powering both the Open Finance and Open Insurance interoperable ecosystems. Clients around the globe rely on Raidiam’s unique and highly adaptable ecosystem-in-a-box Raidiam Connect technology and Raidiam Assure conformation and certification services to deliver the secure exchange of highly sensitive data. Clients include global regulators, consortiums, and enterprises with highly diverse use cases ranging from customer onboarding, digital identity verification to secure data sharing and payments.

Marie commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Raidiam as their resident Open Futurist as we see the development of Open Data initiatives around the globe really pick up pace. Having spent the last seven years studying and monitoring the progress of open consented data sharing, I’ve long been a close observer and admirer of Raidiam as pioneering leaders in this area.  We’re at a very exciting juncture in the expansion of use cases for Open Banking and I’m thrilled to have joined the company with the unquestionable ability to bring them to life on a global scale.”

Barry O’Donohoe, Raidiam’s Co-founder and COO, commented: “We are thrilled to have Marie join the Raidiam team. Given how highly regarded she is in the Open Data community for her unrivalled knowledge of the landscape, her decision to join us is a major coup, and reflects our long-standing position as leading innovators in our exciting sector. There is much progress being made globally, but it’s a pivotal moment from a UK perspective as legislative and governance changes to support further progress in the Open Banking and Smart Data movements are afoot. Marie will be an additional key voice helping us promote the benefits of Open Data for consumers, businesses, and countries.”
